A revised approach to setting WFD phosphorus standards

This report presents a proposal for a set of revised phosphorus standards for protecting High and Good status under the Water Framework Directive. It is part of a wider analysis commissioned by the UKTAG into the management of nutrients in freshwater (Willby et al 2012) following on from a review undertaken to inform refinements to UK conservation guidance on the setting of conservation objectives for designated river habitat (Mainstone 2010a, 2010b).
