Response to stakeholders’ submissions (standards and conditions Phase 1)

The UK Technical Advisory Group (UKTAG) sought comments on the scientific principles underpinning the first proposals for environmental standards to underpin the implementation of the Water Framework Directive. The report was released for stakeholder review and made available on the UKTAG website.This document is intended to represent the main points of responses received. It summarisesthe key issues along with the response of the UKTAG. It has not been possible to reflect all the responses in full. It should be read in conjunction with the revised and final UKTAG report (August 2006) UK Environmental Standards and Conditions (Phase 1).
